When we recorded this album, the band was signed to Elektra records.  For me this was really the second Painter album.  However due to legalities, we terminated our contract with Elektra, changed our name to Hammersmith and in the process signed to Mercury Records.  This album should have pushed the band over the top.  After listening to the Painter and Hammersmith albums, you can hear that this band had a magical chemistry thanks to Danny Lowe, Dorn Beattie, Wayne Morice, Jeff Boyne and Jim Llewellyn.
